Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools to support children who are eligible for free school meals. This funding also applies for children who are looked after, and for children of service personnel. Schools need to use this money to narrow the attainment gap between those children who are eligible for free school meals, and those who are not. Schools are accountable for how this money is spent.
We use this money to provide additional Teaching Assistant time to ensure that attainment of these children compared to their peers is not noticeable. We also use some if this funding to provide specific IT equipment to enhance and encourage engagement in learning. Some of the funding is used to pay for our Breakfast Club, ensuring high attendance. Our data shows that our pupils in receipt of this additional funding make expected, or more than expected, progress.
